On his second start after a summer break, Cheng Gong put in a strong performance under Trevor Whelan in a 2m hurdle handicap at Lingfield today. He raced in a prominent position on the soft ground and was well placed as he descended the hill into the home straight. He jumped the last two hurdles nicely, was challenged in the final furlong but kept on well to take second place for his owners. Congratulations to winning connections.
