Meet the Trainers
We work with a small carefully selected group of trainers who offer our owners a fantastic racing experience whether it's on the racecourse or at their training establishments. With trainers based in the heart of the racing industry, Newmarket, or the glorious Wiltshire downs we offer owners different racing experiences.
Dual Purpose Racehorse Trainer, Marlborough Wilts
Neil King
​Neil King trains Cheng Gong who has proved himself on the flat and over hurdles providing plenty of fun for his owners as well as trips into winner's enclosures. Cuban Court (winner on debut) is also trained by Neil as are two of our filllies Cluain Aodha and Maridadi. Our most recent acquisition is a gelding by Scorpion.

Neil's Ridgeway Racing facility is set on the stunning Marlborough Downs in Wiltshire. His first class facilities with his "hands on" knowledgeable approach has produced 100+ winners in the last five seasons and he says "I enjoy keeping all owners closely and regularly informed on their horses well-being and progress. I pride myself on having a size of string whereby I can train every horse as an individual to get the best possible results."

Tom Clover
Our star filly Jumbeau is based with Royal Ascot winning Trainer Tom Clover in Newmarket. It's always exciting watching the progress of our horses, especially from unraced yearling to the racecourse and Jumbeau has certainly proved the case winning on her debut and then going on to pick up Black Type at York. Kento, a Kuroshio colt is also being trained by Tom for the Lingfield Park Owners Group.

Tom is based at Kremlin House Stables in the heart of Newmarket with access to an extensive range of gallops all maintained to the highest standard by Jockey Club Estates. The husband and wife team are up and coming having started in 2016. Highlights for Tom and Jackie to date include Rogue Millenium winning the Gr 2 Duke of Cambridge Stakes at Royal Ascot, Celsius’ victory at Glorious Goodwood, Hunni taking the £40,000 EBF Fillies’ Nursery at Newmarket and the exploits of 6,000gns yearling buy Gypsy Spirit who finished placed in no less than five Stakes races.

NH Racehorse Trainer, Newmarket, Suffolk
James Owen
James Owen is Newmarket's newest NH trainer having taken out his licence in January 2023 with an impressive strike rate of 22% including producing our own Our Gift to You to win on his debut for the LPOG NH syndicate convincingly at Southwell and then a week later to win first time over fences at Worcester. By March 2024 MGTY, a definite yard favourite, had added to his prize fund with his 5th win!

Green Ridge Stables are ideally positioned next to Newmarket Heath giving access to first class iconic gallops. As well as the usual facilities you'd expect at a successful racing yard, James has a range of paddocks allowing R&R time for the horses.

His passion for NH began during his successful career as an amateur jockey. He also trains a string of Arabian racehorses winning the UK Arabian Champion Trainer title no less than 5 times. He and his wife Jenny also run a successful pre-training yard.
Flat Racehorse Trainer, Newmarket, Suffolk
Kevin Philippart de Foy
Newsreader, a Prince of Lir colt is in training with Kevin Philippart de Foy in Newmarket. Kevin has trained with a number of successful trainers internationally and in the UK including John Oxx (trainer of Sea The Stars), Criquette Head (French trainer of multiple Gr1 winners) Christophe Clement (USA trainer of multiple Gr 1 winners) and James Fanshawe before setting up as a trainer in his own right at Machell Place Stables in 2020. Since then he's added a second training yard Kings Yard and has sent out nearly 100 winners amassing close to a prize fund of £1,000,000.

Dual Purpose Racehorse Trainer, Pershore, Worcs
Tony Carroll
Multiple winning Cinque Verde is in training with Tony Carroll, Mill House Racing in Worcester. Joining her for the 2024 season is a 2yo filly for our LPOG. Tony holds a dual licence and on the flat has won signature races at Glorious Goodwood and The Dash at Epsom. His success under National Hunt rules includes winning the Scottish County Hurdle as well as several wins at the prestigious Scottish Grand National meeting at Ayr.
New trainer for 2024
Edward Smyth-Osbourne
Edward worked for Mckeever bloodstock in Newmarket before working for Australian trainers Gai Waterhouse and Chris Waller. On his return to the UK he took up the position of Assistant Trainer for Michael Bell as well as Mark Johnston, Henry Candy, Chris Grassick and William Muir, He was granted his licence in February 2024 and has made a promising start from Frenchman's House Stables in Upper Lambourn.
